About Dr. Malley

Dr. Debra Malley is an ophthalmologist with a remarkable career marked by academic excellence and surgical expertise. She embarked on her journey by earning her undergraduate degree from Boston University in 1986, graduating magna cum laude as a distinguished Commonwealth Scholar. Her exceptional achievements led to her induction into the Alpha Epsilon Delta Honor Society in the same year.

She continued her educational pursuit at Boston University School of Medicine, where she earned her medical degree in 1990. Dr. Malley's commitment to the field of ophthalmology was evident even during her medical school years, as she served as a clinical researcher at the prestigious Laser Research Laboratory at The Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. During this period, her dedication to advancing ophthalmic knowledge led to the publication of numerous studies on corneal refractive excimer laser surgery.

Dr. Malley's academic journey continued as she completed an internship and residency in Pediatrics at Cornell University Medical Center in New York City. Her relentless pursuit of excellence led her to remain at Cornell to complete her residency training in ophthalmology, where she achieved board certification in both pediatrics and ophthalmology.

With a passion for refractive surgery, Dr. Malley has dedicated her surgical expertise to the field and has performed LASIK procedures since 1996. Her extensive experience and exceptional skills have established her as one of the most accomplished refractive surgeons in South Jersey.

Dr. Malley resides in Marlton, NJ, alongside her husband, Dr. Frank Trudo, and their cherished daughter.
