Glaucoma: The Silent Threat to Vision

Glaucoma is a complex eye condition characterized by increased intraocular pressure (IOP) that damages the optic nerve. It is particularly challenging because it often progresses without warning signs in its early stages. By the time symptoms manifest, irreversible vision loss may have already occurred. Regular eye exams are crucial to test for and detect glaucoma in its early stages when it’s treatable.
