Dr. Heuer earned her baccalaureate in biology with a minor in psychology from Salisbury University, graduating magna cum laude as a member of the honors program. She continued her education at Nova Southeastern University, where she completed her doctorate in optometry. Following graduation, she furthered her clinical expertise through specialized residency training focused on ocular disease, building a strong foundation for providing exceptional patient care. A Pennsylvania native, Dr. Heuer has made her home in Philadelphia's Fishtown neighborhood, where she enjoys engaging with the city's sports, entertainment, and culinary scene. Outside of her practice, she pursues interests in hiking and pottery. Her comprehensive approach to eye care combines clinical expertise with a genuine commitment to helping patients maintain their vision and overall eye health.
The most rewarding part of my work is knowing that I can provide personalized care that truly impacts how my patients experience the world around them. From my training at the VA to my practice today, I've learned that great eye care is about more than prescriptions, it's about building trust and supporting long-term wellness.
