Dr. Brettin is a fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist with clinical interests in minimally invasive glaucoma surgery and cataract care. Training included a medical degree from Harvard Medical School, ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Hospital, and the current 2025 to 2026 glaucoma fellowship at Minnesota Eye Consultants. Dr. Brettin built an academic pathway anchored in strong training programs. Undergraduate studies at Tufts University ended with dual degrees in Biology and Psychology, completed summa cum laude, before a medical degree from Harvard Medical School set the stage for ophthalmology training. Internship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital preceded ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Hospital. The current 2025 to 2026 glaucoma fellowship at Minnesota Eye Consultants continues that pathway.
